Donald Thomas

Donald Thomas is an American astronaut who was born on May 6, 1955, in Ohio. Before he became an astronaut, Thomas worked as an engineer.

Thomas became an astronaut in 1991. He has spent over 1040 hours in space on 4 spaceflights.

Thomas made his first spaceflight aboard STS-65 in 1994. The crew conducted several experiments during this mission. In 1995, Thomas flew aboard STS-70. The crew deployed a satellite.

Thomas made his third flight aboard STS-83 in 1997. This mission was cut short due to a problem with a fuel cell. The mission was reflown as STS-94 later that year.
